How High Country Fencing of Illinois Works

Layout before material

Layout before material

The line, the slope, and the gate swings are settled on site before anything is ordered, because a fence ordered to the wrong layout is a fence built twice.

Written scope

Written scope

Material, height, post spacing, and gate count are listed in writing before a crew is scheduled. Nothing is added to the invoice once the trailer is on site.

Finished and walked

Finished and walked

Gates are swung, latches are set, and spoil is hauled off. We walk the finished run with you before the job is called complete.

How a Fence Gets Built

  1. 1

    Walk the Property

We measure the run, check the line, and note gates, slopes, and utilities.

  2. 2

    Choose the Material

We talk through wood, vinyl, and metal for how the fence will be used.

  3. 3

    Put It in Writing

You get a written scope and price before anything is ordered.

  4. 4

    Build and Walk It

The crew sets posts, hangs gates, cleans up, and walks the finished run with you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a fence installation take?

Most residential runs are set in a day or two of work, with a curing pause after the posts go in. We give you the schedule in writing with the quote so nothing is a surprise.

Do I need a permit or a survey?

Many properties do, and some neighborhoods add their own rules on height and style. We tell you what your address requires and work from your survey so the line is right.

Which fence material lasts longest here?

It depends on the run. Vinyl and coated metal shrug off humidity with little upkeep, while wood gives the warmest look and wants stain or paint to keep it. We match the material to the exposure.

Can you repair a fence instead of replacing it?

Often, yes. Posts can be reset, panels swapped, and gates rehung. We give you an honest read on whether the repair will hold or whether replacing the run is the better spend.

How deep are the posts set?

Deep enough for the soil and the height of the fence, set in concrete. Sandy and wet ground asks for more depth than a spec sheet assumes, and that is where a leaning fence usually starts.

Do you build gates and automatic openers?

We build and hang walk gates and drive gates, and we frame them so they hold their square. Ask us about opener hardware and we will lay out what your gate can carry.

What areas do you serve?

We serve the communities listed on this page and the surrounding area. Ask us about your address and we will confirm.

Will you match a fence that is already on the property?

Where the material is still made, yes. Where it is not, we show you the closest current profile and where the seam will show, so you can decide before we order.

Ready for a fence that holds its line?

Tell us what you want enclosed and we will walk the line, talk material, and put a price in writing.
